Lopez Island Community Tennis and Pickleball Association (LICTA) is thrilled to announce significant improvements coming to our shared courts! The work will take place in August of this year. We need to raise $50,000 to complete the project. Please consider donating today.

 

Project Details 

Based on valuable feedback from our recent membership survey, we've developed a comprehensive renovation plan that includes:

• Complete court resurfacing with bright, vibrant colors

• Repair of all existing cracks and surface damage

• Expansion from 6 to 8 pickleball courts

The renovation is tentatively scheduled for August 2025, requiring the courts to be closed for approximately one week (weather permitting). We've accepted a contractor's bid and now need to raise $50,000 to complete this project. LICTA will supplement this amount with reserve funds accumulated from membership dues over the past decade.

 

How You Can Help Make This Happen

 

1. Donate generously. LICTA is a 501c3 nonprofit organization.

2. Join our fundraising team.  We need volunteers, especially folks with graphic design skills.

 

3. Suggest funding sources.  Know of potential grants or business sponsors? Let us know!

 

4. Help organize a fundraising event. Please share your ideas.

 

5. Spread the word. Share our "Support the Courts!" campaign with friends and neighbors by spreading the word and sending them this email.

 

Now LICTA members, along with friends and supporters, can show how much they value these facilities. Our active Lopez community enjoys the courts year round, and funding is 100% by local donations. Students, families, seniors, and visitors all benefit from this community resource. Together, we can create a facility we'll enjoy for years to come!
